Module 3: Reduce Assumptions, Increase Clarity – Setting the Stage for Accountability
Learn how clarity of expectations leads to greater accountability, reduced friction, and improved performance.
📘 Introduction, Objectives & Overview
Welcome to Module 3 of the CSLDP.
Assumptions are one of the biggest silent killers of team performance, trust, and accountability..
When expectations are unclear - or worse, left unspoken - leaders create environments where confusion, friction, and underperformance thrive. Great leaders don’t leave success to chance. They set clear, shared expectations early and often, ensuring that everyone understands what success looks like, how it will be measured, and why it matters.
In this module you'll learn how to eliminate assumptions, create clarity, and establish a foundation of trust and accountability. Clarity doesn’t just drive better outcomes, it creates healthier relationships, stronger engagement, and a team culture where people can perform at their best
By the end of this module, you will:
-
Define what clear expectations look like in practice and why they matter.
-
Identify how ambiguity leads to blame, avoidance, and poor performance.
-
Apply practical frameworks to set expectations that stick.
-
Use clarity to empower self-accountability and ownership in others.
-
Build a leadership rhythm that reinforces standards without micromanaging.
